SCCE and HCCA announce newly-elected members of their Board of Directors

The Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) and the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) have announced recent appointments to their Board of Directors, who will be taking office November 1, 2018. These individuals will join the group of compliance leaders who provide direction and leadership to both SCCE and HCCA, non-profit professional member associations that serve almost 20,000 compliance and ethics professionals worldwide.

U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) Inspector General Daniel R. Levinson will kick off the opening session of the 22nd Annual Compliance Institute, being held April 15-18, 2018 at ARIA in Las Vegas, the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) announced today. Upward of 2,300 healthcare compliance professionals are expected to attend HCCA’s Annual Compliance Institute, the keystone learning event for healthcare compliance professionals. The 2018 Compliance Institute features more than 250 speakers—19 from government—150+ sessions, and 11 educational tracks.

Training governing boards on compliance and ethics is now the norm rather than the exception, according to “Compliance Training and The Board,” a survey recently conducted by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) & Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA). According to the survey results, 72% of respondents report that training on compliance and ethics issues is provided to the board of directors. However, it is surprising to find 34% of respondents from publicly traded companies indicate no compliance training is performed.

“The Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) & Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) are excited to announce the search for a new CEO. Roy Snell will be retiring in March of 2020. We are very excited about our accomplishments to date and are looking forward to identifying an individual that will have the skill set to take us to the next level. The individual we seek will come on as the Deputy CEO and then ultimately assume the position of CEO. Roy Snell will stay on for roughly one year in a special projects role to assist with the transition.
