MINNEAPOLIS. February 9, 2016---- The Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) and its sister association, the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) are pleased to announce today that, together, they now have more than 16,000 members — 16,000 compliance and ethics professionals.  Aida R. López-Carrasquillo, Executive Administrator, Psychiatric Services of Puerto Rico Corp. became the 16,000thmember when she joined. The remarkable growth of SCCE and HCCA underscores the rapid increase in the compliance and ethics profession both in the U.S. and internationally.

“For years the press, public, and politicians have decried wrongdoing in business,” said SCCE and HCCA Chief Executive Officer Roy Snell. “The growth in the compliance profession shows that an ever-increasing number of businesses understand the need for lawful, ethical behavior and the need to have a dedicated compliance function. We’re proud to be able to help compliance and ethics professionals develop their skill and network with each other.”

The two associations offer more than 80 meetings a year, and each publishes a monthly magazine for its members.  In addition to programs throughout the U.S., programs are offered in 2016 in Brussels, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Madrid, and Prague in order to meet the educational needs of the global compliance and ethics community.
